No FC for two-stroke autos

April 5, 2018

Mysuru: With the transport department giving a clear instruction that Fitness Certificate (FC) will not be issued for two-stroke autorickshaws, Samyukta Karnataka Autorickshaw Drivers and Owners Welfare Association President M.V. Sreenivas Mithra has submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner  claiming that refusal of FC without a prior intimation would badly hit the owners of such autorickshaws.

Srinivas Mithra opined that the Transport officials should have called a meeting of owners of two-stroke autorickshaws and discussed about the issue.

He has appealed the DC to get the two-stroke autorickshaws converted to four-stroke version. He has warned of a protest from Apr. 13 if the issue is not solved immediately.
