No honking at signals, please!

July 1, 2020

Sir,

With the increase in number of traffic rules violators (it is observed that a violator by default violates multiple traffic rules) we have some motorists who derive pleasure in honking continuously at the traffic signals.

When the signal turns green, due to some reasons the vehicles close to the signal would not have moved forward. These impatient motorists waiting much behind and farther away from the traffic signal light, lacking civic sense, will be honking continuously which is a nuisance for one and all. These motorists do not have the common sense to understand that when the signal turn greens, every motorists wish to move forward and their honking only causes irritation to other motorists.
