Tumakuru: Against the backdrop of the Mandya MP Sumalatha Ambarish’s statement on the leakage at KRS Reservoir, Mines and Geology Minister Murgesh Nirani on Monday clarified that there was no mining activity around KRS and no leakage in the Dam.

Speaking to media here, he said that there has been no mining activity around the Reservoir since the last few years and there is no leakage. He said as precautionary measures have been taken around 10-km radius, there was no threat to the Dam.

Hitting back at former CM H.D. Kumaraswamy for personal attacks against Sumalatha, Nirani said, it shows his “culture and personality.”
