‘No need to fear’

Mysuru/Mysore: Backward Classes Social Welfare Department District Officer H.S. Bindya has assured that there is no need to fear Coronavirus if students take all necessary precautionary measures.

Addressing a meeting with Extension Officers and Hostel Wardens at the department’s girls hostel at Raghavendranagar in city on Mar. 18, she said, “If any student is having any symptoms such as cough and fever, immediately seek medical advice. Wash your hands and feet regularly. Use cloth to cover your mouth while sneezing or coughing. Maintain cleanliness in the hostel, especially in the kitchen. While preparing food, use pepper, ginger, tulsi and garlic more often. Provide soaps to each student residing in the hostel.”

She also advised them to use masks as a precautionary measure and inform the district administration in case any symptoms appear in any students.

District Office Manager Vishwanth, Taluk Extension Officers Suchendrakumar, Mohan, G.J. Mahesh, Rajanna, Premkumar, Tenganalkar, Sakamma and hostel wardens were present.
