Nodal Officers appointed for oxygen supplies

Mysore/Mysuru: Under the Disaster Management Act 2005, Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri, who is also the District Magistrate, has appointed B. Manjunath, Deputy Director of Libraries at Mysuru, as the Nodal Officer for oxygen supplies in the district with immediate effect.

Manjunath has been entrusted with the task of ascertaining the availability of sufficient quantity of oxygen at supply agencies in the city and district, submission of day-to-day updates to the Government on oxygen requisitions/indent  sent  by Government and Private Hospitals to oxygen suppliers and also getting confirmation of oxygen supplies made as per requisition.

He will also be monitoring the functioning of Nodal Officers already appointed at oxygen supply agencies, sending regular updates to the District Administration on actual oxygen supplies  and to direct/correspond with agencies on issues concerning oxygen supplies and send reports on a daily basis with statistics  pertaining to demand and supply, consumption and shortfall of oxygen in the district, among others, according to a press release from the Deputy Commissioner.

The following are the other Nodal Officers’ team appointed the District Administration to check oxygen stocks in private supply agencies of the district: 

K.R. Rakshith – Tashildar, Mysuru Taluk; Dr. Suresh – Assistant Director, Animal Husbandry Department;  Mahesh Kumar – Assistant Director, Sericulture Department; Anil – Assistant Engineer, PWD; Mahendra – Revenue Inspector, Mysuru Taluk; Vinod and Nagesh –  Village Accountants at Mysuru  Taluk Office.
