Non-functional street-lights on Outer Ring Road

July 8, 2019

Sir,

Driving after dusk on Outer Ring Road from Columbia Asia Hospital Junction towards Rajivnagar, Sathagalli Bus Depot is a nightmare.

There are street-lights which have been installed but are never switched on and it is pitch dark after dusk. Added to this problem, many autos and two-wheelers enter the Service Road from the wrong side on the stretch from Narayana Hospital to Columbia Asia right under the nose of the Traffic Police posted at the Junction. This has led to accidents since many heavy trucks are parked along the Service Road blocking the complete view at the left hand turn.

I urge the authorities concerned to look into the matter and make the street-lights functional.
