Mysuru: Noopura Nrithyalaya, Mysuru, has organised a Dance Festival titled ‘Noopura Nrithotsava 2024’ at Kalamandira on Hunsur Road in city on Sept. 22 from 5 pm onwards.

About 70 students (aged between 8 and 50 years) from the Nrithyalaya would be enthralling the audience with 14 Bharatanatyam performances.

Noopura Nrithyalaya is a dance school in Hootagalli, Mysuru, which started around 10 years ago.

The first edition of Noopura Nrithyotsava, the annual dance festival, was conducted in 2019 with live music and had the distinction of having all-women performers including violin, flute and mridanga being played by women. Noopura Nrithyalaya has endeavoured to impart training in traditional form of Bharatanatyam since its inception and recently started training in Mohiniyattam.
