November 3, 2017

Mysuru: PWD and District in-Charge Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa on Wednesday launched the State Government’s ambitious programme to provide flavoured milk for school children under the Ksheera Bhagya Scheme.

The project has been launched on an experimental basis in Mysuru and Raichur districts where students will be provided chocolate flavoured milk for three days and elaichi (cardamom) flavoured milk for two days. If the experiment succeeds, the project would be extended across the State.

In Mysuru district, 2.16 lakh students from first to tenth standard in over 2,400 government and aided schools are expected to benefit from the scheme.
