Now, women Police personnel too join Operation Fast Track

May 16, 2019

Mysuru:  More women Police personnel are deployed to ‘Operation Fast Track,’ which was constituted to nab chain-snatchers and to create awareness among the public in city.

City Police Commissioner K.T. Balakrishna, speaking to SOM, said that women Police personnel are being deployed in large numbers as it would be easy for them to speak with women and also create awareness.

He further said that it would be difficult to respond to the complaints and may hamper the progress of investigations if the male staff are deployed to Operation Fast Track in the morning and evening apart from conducting their daily routine at the Police Station. Keeping this in mind, women Police Personnel are being deployed, he added.

The city Police Chief said that the women Police personnel are capable of creating awareness among women about protecting their jewellery while walking in parks and streets by conversing with them.
