The two-day NR Open Golf Championship organised by city’s N.R. Group, at Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Golf Club (JWGC) was teed-off by Vishnu Ranga, Managing Partner, N Ranga Rao & Sons Pvt. Ltd, here this morning.
More than 200 golfers mainly from Mysuru, Bengaluru, Coorg, Chikkamagalur, Ooty and Kodaikanal are participating in this two-day event.
This year, the participants will compete in 16 categories which includes: Stroke Play Gross, Stroke Play Net [Handicap 0 To 12], Stroke Play Net [Handicap 13 To 18], Stableford Net[Handicap 0 To 18], Stableford Net – Seniors [Handicap 0 To 24], Stableford Net – Juniors [Handicap 0 To 24], Stableford Net – Ladies[Handicap 0 To 24], Match Play Gross Singles, Match Play Net Singles, Match Play Net Doubles, Match Play Senior Singles, Super Senior – Winner, Nearest To Pin, Longest Drive, Straightest Drive and Maximum No. of Birdies.
The prize distribution ceremony will be held tomorrow at the JWGC.
JWGC President B.M. Nagesh, Hon. Secretary V.G. Achar, Captain Dr. Venkatesh Joshi, Hon. Treasurer Dr. S. Prasanna Shankar, Committee members H.D. Thimmappa Gowda, M.S. Yeshwanth and B. Ravindranath Reddy and others were present.
