‘Nruthya Bhushana-2023,’ Classical Theme-based National Dance Festival has been organised by Bhushans Academy of Performing Arts and Visual Presentation at RamaGovinda Rangamandira in Ramakrishnanagar here on Nov. 18 and 19.
Artistes from across India will be chosen meticulously to be a part of this festival. Performances will be in the form of solo, duet, couple and group presentations which will be a visual treat for the art-lovers of Mysuru. Different classical forms like Bhratanatyam, Odissi and Kuchipudi with specially worked themes are being presented at the festival. Schedule is as follows:
Nov. 18 – 5.45 pm: Inauguration by KR Nagar MLA Ravishankar and Senior Congress leader Nandish Mirle; 6.15 pm: ‘Ramabhyudayam’ to be presented by child prodigies Abhyuday Dhyan Bhushan and Abhignan Vedant Bhushan, sons and disciples of Badari Divya Bhushan and Dr. Anjana Bhushan from Mysuru; 6.45 pm: ‘Karunada Kaviyatriyaru,’ a unique Bharatanatyam presentation by Vidu. Padmini Upadhya and Shree Rudraksha Natyalaya team from Bengaluru; 7.45 pm: ‘Ardha Saankaram’ by Kuchipudi exponent, SNA Ustaad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar Awardee Dr. Vasanth Kiran and team from Bangarpet.
Nov. 19 – 6 pm: Tejasvini and Yashaswini, disciples of Vidushi Seetha Gurupradasad from Bengaluru, will present ‘Shyama Margam’; 6.45 pm: Sindhu Kiran and team from Mysuru present ‘An Ode to Devi in Odissi’; 7.35 pm; Dr. Sanjay Shantaram and artistes of Shivapriya School of Dance from Bengaluru will present ‘Wodeyara Vaibhava.’
Entry for ‘Nruthya Bhushana’ event is free. The event is hosted by internationally acclaimed Bhartanatyam artiste, Acharya Badari Divya Bhushan, Artistic-Director, Bhushans’ Academy of Performing Arts and Visual Presentation, Mysuru.
