Mysuru: As a homage to the Founder-Patron of Sri Uma Maheshwara Nruthya Kalakshetra  “Karnataka Kalasree” Natyacharya late T.N Somashekar, a Guru Vandhana will be presented by Vidu. K. Sharika and troupe at Jaganmohan Palace auditorium on Jan. 5 at 5.45 pm.  This will be followed by a dance feature ‘Nruthya Vaibhavam’ by the disciples of Guru Vidu. Sreelakshmi Kumar, Director of Sri Uma Maheshwara Nruthya Kalakshetra.

This programme will be inaugurated by Dr. T. C. Poornima, IIS, Secretariat, Information and Broadcasting, Government of India and Unit Head of News and Public Relations Department, Mysuru.

H.Chennappa, Assistant Director, Department of Kannada and Culture and Natyacharya Prof. K. Ramamurthy Rao, Director Noopura Kalvidaru Samskruthika Trust, will be the guests of honour.

On the occasion, Sangeetha Kalanidhi Vid. Tandavamurthy and Dr. Chethana Radhakrishna, Director of Gurudeva Academy of Fine Arts, Mysuru, will be honoured with ‘Somasree Award’ according to a press release.
