NSS-ETI camp concludes
Mysuru: Freedom fighter and Social activist Surendra Koulagi has urged NSS Programme Officers to encourage NSS students for taking up rural service as a priority.
He was speaking at the valedictory of the University of Mysore (UoM) NSS-ETI (Empanelled Training Institution) camp organised at Aryabhata Hall in Gandhi Bhavan premises, Manasagangothri here on Friday.
Noting that India has the highest number of youths in the world, Koulagi said that the younger generation is a very important asset of the country.
Underlining that youth play a key role in the development of the nation, he said that it was satisfying to note that more number of youths are joining NSS camps and the Indian Army.
Pointing out that physical exercises along with mental exercises will keep one sound and healthy, the veteran social activist said that it was important to enjoy life by contributing to the society.
UoM NSS-ETI Co-ordinator Dr. B. Chandrashekar, Karnataka Gandhi Smaraka Nidhi Vice-President Prof. G.B. Shivaraj, UoM Syndicate Member Prof. Kumar, Retired Principal Prof. K.M. Veeraiah, faculty R. Ningaraju and others were present during the programme.
