NSS volunteers invited for Independence Day at Delhi

Mysore/Mysuru: NSS Volunteers of University of Mysore (UoM) S.M. Ananya and R. Kiran, students of JSS Arts, Commerce and Science College on Ooty Road in the city, have been invited to take part as Special  Guests  at the Independence Day celebrations to take place in New Delhi on Aug.15.

The two are among the 22 NSS volunteers of the State and 200 altogether from the country, who are selected to take part in the I-Day event.

Ananya and Kiran have been selected in recognition of their active involvement in the Meri Mitti Mera Desh  programme that was inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi in 2023-24.

Mysore Varsity Vice-Chancellor Prof. N.K. Loknath has congratulated the two students for their selection.
