NSUI demands free bus pass

July 17, 2017

Mysuru: Urging the State Government to extend free bus pass facility to students of all classes as provided to SC/ST students, the activists of National Students Union of India (NSUI) staged a protest in front of the DC’s office here on Saturday.

Lauding the State Government for providing free bus pass facility to SC/ST students, the protesters urged the Government to extend the facility to students of all classes and also to rural students.

The protesters said that as there are poor SC/ST students, there are also poor students in all communities who come from far places and alleged that the Government was doing injustice to them. They urged CM Siddharamaiah to issue an order to provide free bus pass facility to them.

Earlier, hundreds of students from various colleges took out a procession from Yuvaraja’s College to the DC’s office, where they staged a protest and submitted a memorandum. NSUI District President Rafiq Ali, General Secretary Rizwan Pasha, Secretary Sagar and hundreds of students took part in the protest.
