Mysuru: Nypunyothsava, the annual day celebration of Nypunya School of Excellence, Mysuru, was held at KSOU Convocation Hall in city recently.
Swami Nirbhayananda Saraswati, President of Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Ashram in Gadag, who graced the valedictory ceremony, passionately articulated the inherent potential of Indian soil to nurture and cultivate intelligent individuals capable of inspiring the world. His remarks, founded on both scientific reasoning and the teachings from ancient Indian scriptures, emphasised that India has long been a cradle of intellect and achievement, dating back to the times of Vedas and Upanishads.
He pointed out the contemporary challenges faced by families in recognising and fostering the unique intelligence present in every child. He lamented that many parents overlook their responsibilities to identify and nurture their children’s talents, which can lead to setbacks in education and personal development.

Highlighting the detrimental effects of comparing children and the pressure placed upon them by adults, he called for a shift in perspective and stressed the importance of understanding and nurturing each child’s unique abilities rather than allowing societal pressures to stifle potential.
Former State Election Commissioner P. N. Srinivasachari echoed the sentiment that every child possesses the potential to be an achiever.
Earlier in the day, Dr. K.S. Sadananda, Medical Superintendent of Jayadeva Heart Institute, Mysuru, emphasised the critical role parents play as role models, urging them to create an environment conducive to their children’s development.
Nypunyothsava included performances by children and representatives of the joint family, showcasing their cultural heritage and shared experiences. A dance performance by more than 350 students conveyed a strong message about environmental conservation and the need to preserve resources for future.
