OBRATS: Obstacle Course Race for Children in city on Jan.19

Mysore Amity Ladies Circle-108, in collaboration with RE3 Command Fitness, has organised ‘OBRATS – An Obstacle Course Race for Children’ aged between 5 and 16 years at Mahajana College Grounds in Jayalakshmipuram here on Jan.19 at 7 am.

The participants have to overcome 15 hurdles that will test their strength, stamina, flexibility and endurance.

The race includes two categories: Junior Category in the age group of 5 to 8 years and a Senior Category in the age bracket of 9 to 16 years. It will have obstacles like Tyre Wall Climbing, Tarzan Jump, Log Carrying, and Monkey Bars to name a few. Junior category registration fee is Rs.750 and for the Senior category, the fee is Rs.850.

OBRATS is a charity fundraiser event where the funds collected will be used to build two classrooms at Kyathanahalli Government  School in H.D. Kote taluk. The construction will start in January 2020 itself. In addition to building classrooms, MALC-108 also believes in Go Green initiatives and will be donating 250 saplings to all the participants on race day. They will also be giving free participation to ten children from Nele Orphanage to enjoy the experience of an Obstacle Race.
