October’s Heritage Walk called off as only two register

October 7, 2023

The regular Heritage Walk, scheduled for the first Saturday of every month, was cancelled this morning due to very poor registration. The Heritage Walk offers a unique and unconventional experience, allowing participants to explore Mysuru’s architectural marvels. This initiative is organised by the Department of Archaeology, Museums and Heritage. The Department had recently reintroduced the Heritage Walk concept and had previously announced that it would be a recurring event, taking place at 6.30 am every first Saturday of the month. Interested individuals were encouraged to register for free at the Department Office located at the Karnataka Exhibition Authority’s premises.

However, this month’s Heritage Walk had to be cancelled due to a lack of response from participants. Typically, participants are led by knowledgeable resource persons and trained guides who provide valuable insights into the history and significant landmarks along the selected route of the Heritage Walk.
