Bengaluru: Noted Odissi dancer Madhulita Mohapatra (recipient of Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar from Central Sangeet Natak Akademi), along with her student, Sahana R. Maiya, collaborates with Yakshagana artistes, Guru K. Krishnamurthy Tunga and Chithkala K. Tunga of Yakshakala Academy, promising a memorable evening of artistic brilliance, when the grace of Odissi dance meets the exuberance of Yakshagana in a captivating fusion of these two timeless dance forms, on Jan. 20 at 7 pm at Khincha Auditorium, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (BVB), Bengaluru. This performance is part of the 7-day Fusion Music & Dance Festival organised by BVB, Bengaluru and Infosys Foundation from Jan. 20 to 26.

This fusion dance weaves the traditional dance forms of Odissi & Yakshanaga to retell the timeless saga of Savitri & Satyavan.
