Oil-filled tanker topples spilling oil on Mangaluru Road

Napoklu: A tanker transporting oil has toppled on Madikeri-Mangaluru Highway near Jodupala Falls, spilling oil on the road.

The tanker (KA-19-AA-4937) was carrying oil from Mysuru to Mangaluru, when it toppled on Mangaluru Highway after the driver lost control of the vehicle. The front wheels of the tanker detached after it toppled. The driver and cleaner of the oil tanker have escaped miraculously. Following the oil spill, vehicles proceeding towards Mangaluru had to proceed through this oil spill road very cautiously.
