May 13, 2026

Mysore/Mysuru: The Antharanga theatre group in association with city’s Natana School of Theatre Arts, will perform ‘Olacharandi Purana’ (the story of an Underground drainage) Kannada  play at Natana auditorium in Vasu Layout, Ramakrishnanagar, at 6.30 pm on May 17.

The play highlights the functioning of Government offices  and apathy in a sarcastic manner. After a prolonged struggle, Lokappa succeeds in apprising the civic issues  to elected representatives and getting them addressed.

The play is scripted by playwright Dr. Gowrish  Joshi based on a story written by  noted film director Dr. Nagathihalli Chandrashekar.

The play is directed by Archana Shyam, who has also done choreography and stage design for the play.
