On duty Head Constable dies of heart attack

Gundlupet/Begur: A Head Constable who was on duty, suffered a heart attack and died while being shifted to a hospital in Mysuru. The incident took place at Kabballi village in the taluk yesterday.

The deceased is Rajagopala (47), a resident of Chowdahalli in the taluk. He was serving as a Head Constable in Begur Police Station and was recently deployed at Kabballi Sub Police Station. Rajagopal, who complained of severe chest pain, was immediately rushed to the Community Health Centre at the village. As the chest pain intensified, he was being shifted to a hospital in Mysuru but he breathed his last mid way.

The body was brought to his native place in the afternoon. Superintendent of Police (SP) Padmini Sahoo, Additional SP Udesh, Dy.SP Priyadarshini Saanekoppa, Circle Inspector Kiran Kumar and Sub-Inspector Dhulashetty visited the place and paid their last respects.

A bachelor, Rajagopala leaves behind his mother Puttasiddamma and a brother. Last rites were held at Chowdalli today.
