On footpath clearing drive

April 4, 2024

Sir,

It is indeed a fine gesture from MCC Commissioner Dr. N.N Madhu to have undertaken mass clearing of footpaths around the Devaraja Market and  the bustling Chikkagadiyara (Dufferin Clock Tower) area.

While congratulating her in this regard, I request the MCC authorities to take similar actions at all footpaths in Mysuru.

Particularly in many sidewalks, due to uneven and stony surface of footpaths, seniors find it very difficult to walk or even get into a shop.

Also, keeping huge dustbins, wherever required, will at least put some civic sense in the minds of the pedestrians who generally throw garbage on the sidewalks quite randomly!
