Onam Fair from tomorrow

As a prelude to Onam celebrations on Sept.11, Kerala Samajam, Mysuru, is organising its traditional three-day Annual Onam Fair Sept.8 at the Samajam Community Centre, located in Vijayanagar 2nd Stage (adjacent to Kaveri Grameena Bank).  The Fair will be open on all three days from 9 am to 9 pm. An exquisite variety of traditional and authentic Onam specialties like Nenthra Kai, Banana Chips (Round, Cut & Sweet), Pappadam, Pal Ada, Coconut Oil, Halwa, Unni Appam, Jaggery, Pineapple (from Vazhakulam), Yam, Ginger, Set Sari, Set Mund, Kerala Towel (Thorth), Kerala Kasavu sari, Earthen pots, variety of Pickles, Rice powders, Kerala Rice etc. and assorted variety of traditional artefacts will be on sale. All these items are being brought from Kerala and will be available till stock lasts. Also, Special Onam Payasam and “Puli Inchi” prepared by expert chefs from Kerala will be on sale.
