One arrested for cheating

Mysuru:  The Devaraja Police have arrested a man for cheating a Finance company of lakhs of rupees by keeping fake gold jewellery as pledge.

The arrested has been identified as Dhananjaya, a gold examiner working with Sriram Citi Union Finance at Shivarampet in city.

The Finance Company Manager Mahadevaswamy in a complaint lodged with Devaraja Police recently had accused Dhananjaya and the company’s Assistant Manager Manjunath of cheating the company Rs.4,23,398 after keeping fake gold jewellery as pledge.

Devaraja Police, who registered a case, arrested Dhananjaya on Friday and have launched a hunt to nab Manjunath, who has gone absconding, it is learnt.
