One arrested for stealing video cameras at DIET

Mysore/Mysuru: Nazarbad Police have arrested a person on charges of stealing two video cameras from District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) at Vasantha Mahal in Nazarbad and have recovered two video cameras worth Rs. 1.71 lakh from him.

The accused has been identified as 32-year-old Ravish, a Group ‘D’ employee at DIET and a resident of Bogadi in city.

Following the theft, the DIET Principal had lodged a complaint with Nazarbad Police and Inspector K. Jeevan, who had registered a case, took up the investigation and arrested the accused besides recovering the stolen video cameras from him.

DCP (Crime and Traffic) M.S. Geetha Prasanna and Devaraja Sub-Division ACP M.N. Shashidhar guided Nazarbad Inspector K. Jeevan, SIs Vyshali, Raghu, Chandrashekar Itagi, Maruthi Antharagatti and staff Satish Kumar, Kiran Rathod, Santosh Kumar and Savitha Basavaraja Maanappa in the nabbing and recovery operation.
