One killed as KSRTC bus rams into car

Myore/Mysuru: One person was killed on the spot, when a KSRTC bus rammed into the car near the lake at Varuna village on T. Narasipur Road in the taluk on Thursday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Biligowda, a native of Koppa village in Maddur taluk of Mandya district, who was residing at Mysuru. Biligowda, who had gone to his agricultural land near Talakad, was returning to Mysuru in his Fiat Punto car (KA-11-M-4260), when the KSRTC bus (KA-10-F-0343) rammed into the car killing Biligowda on the spot.

Varuna Sub-Inspector Chethan and staff, who rushed to the spot, removed the body of Biligowda from the mangled car and shifted it to MMC&RI mortuary. Post-mortem was conducted and the body was handed over to the family members in the evening. Varuna Police have seized both the vehicles.
