One killed, two injured as goods vehicle rams bike at Koorgalli Industrial Area

Mysore/Mysuru: A man was killed, while two others sustained injuries when their motorcycle was allegedly hit by a goods vehicle near Excel Public School in Koorgalli Industrial Area here on Thursday.

Swamy Gowda (32) of Dodda Maragowdana Halli (DMG Halli), Mysuru taluk, is the deceased, while the injured are B. Manjunath, 35 and Kumar, 33 of the same village, who are admitted to a private hospital in the city.

Swamy Gowda had gone to Aarathi Ukkada Temple in Mandya for Amavasye puja on the motorbike of Kumar along with Manjunath, on Thursday. They were returning home at around 2.15 pm, when the goods vehicle driven by one Shivakumar hit their two-wheeler.

The three sustained injuries and Gowda succumbed while being shifted to the hospital, as declared by the doctor upon reaching the hospital.

V.V. Puram Traffic Police have registered a case.
