Open House at NIE on Sept. 3

The National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysuru, is conducting “Open House” event to showcase its facilities to the prospective student community and general public on Sept.3 (Friday) between 10 am and 5 pm.

NIE is an autonomous institution and has 7 Undergraduate Programmes (Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Industrial & Production Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Information Science Engineering) and 12 Postgraduate Programme (Hydraulics, Structural Engineering, Production Engineering & System Technology, Power Systems, Computer Application in Industrial Drives, Master of Computer Application, Information Technology, Industrial Automation & Robotics, Computer Network Engineering, Nano Technology, Machine Design and Networking & Internet Engineering). All the Departments are recognised as research centre under Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for Quality Improvement Program (QIP).

On Open House Day, prospective students and the public will have an opportunity to visit the Institute and go around the campus to explore the laboratory and teaching facilities in various Departments. Demonstrations and exhibitions will be held along with presentation from the Department Heads to show-case the strengths and placement opportunities. Apart from this, campus tour to state-of-the-art research centres, library, Gymkhana and Hostels has been arranged. Covid norms will be followed as per GoK guidelines.
