Outdated speed limits on ORR!

April 24, 2023

Sir,

This is to bring to the notice of the authorities concerned that the speed limits throughout the 42- km Outer Ring Road (ORR)  is outdated.

We find speed limits as low as 30 and 40 kmph at many points which being a cyclist, even I find it difficult to maintain!! So just imagine the plight of motor cycles and cars.

Also, the more troubling issue is that the Traffic Police fining the vehicles for over-speeding with this kind of outdated speed limits! So this looks to be like Police fleecing the citizens for mistakes they didn’t actually commit!

Through SOM,  I would like to request the authorities to review and revise the speed limits at the earliest.
