Outgoing CJI Gogoi at Tirupati

Tirupati: Chief Justice of India (CJI) Ranjan Gogoi, who demitted his Office yesterday, was on a two-day pilgrimage to Tirupati shrine. He was accompanied by his wife Rupanjali Gogoi. 

On his arrival at the main entrance of Tiruchanoor Temple on Saturday last, Justice Gogoi was accorded a grand welcome by temple priests of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams led by Tirupati JEO P. Basanth Kumar. 

The couple offered prayers to Goddess Padmavathi. Later they arrived at Tirumala at stayed overnight at Sri Padmavathi Guest House.  This was the maiden visit of Justice Gogoi following the Ayodhya verdict. Andhra Government had provided adequate security to the CJI at Tirupati and security curbs were imposed at places where he visited or stayed.
