Nanjangud: Over 10 passengers sustained injuries after a tyre of a KSRTC bus burst near Hediyala in the taluk.

The tyre of the KSRTC bus plying on Begur-Hediyala-Saragur route blast and the impact was such that a passenger seat also was badly damaged. One Shahida Banu, who was sitting on the seat sustained serious injuries and has been admitted to a hospital.

Insurance lapse: The insurance of this KSRTC bus (KA-10-F-0272) has not been renewed since 2019. This issue came to the notice when a few localites verified the bus registration number online.

It is really embarrassing to note that, the Government vehicle is ferrying passengers though the insurance has not been renewed. What is the fate of passengers if any major mishap takes place? public have questioned.
