More than 2,000 participants took part in the District-level Chamundi Run, a Road Race organised by Palace Sports Club, Kuvempunagar, as part of Independence Day and National Sports Day in the city on Sunday.
Former MUDA Chairman H.V. Rajeev, who spoke after flagging off the race at Ramakrishna Paramahamsa Circle, said that sports should be an integral part of our children and youth.
Noting that the youth should not be satisfied only at taking part in such competitions and must be active in sports all the times, Rajeev said it is important for the young to choose at least one sport of their choice and make efforts to excel in it.
