Palace Sports Club’s Road Race: Madhukumar, Aishwarya triumph

Madhukumar and Aishwarya, both of Vidyadarshini Convent, hogged the limelight by winning the 2km boys and girls road race for Higher Primary students respectively in the ‘Chamundi Run’ road race conducted by Palace Sports Club at Ramakrishnanagar in city yesterday.

Around 300 school children took part in the event. The winners in the HPS boys and girls section were given a cash prize of Rs.3,000 and a trophy, runners-up received Rs. 2,000 and a trophy and third place winners were given Rs.1,000.

The Results: HPS Boys (2km): 1. Madhukumar (Vidyadarshini Convent-10m:59.61sec ), 2. Veda Varun S (CFTRI 10m:77.44sec), 3. Vineeth A. Kashyap (DAV Public School- 11:17.94sec).

HPS Girls: 1. Aishwarya (Vidyadarshini Convent-12:11.07sec), 2. Madalambika (Vidyadarshini Convent-12:11.45sec), 3. K. Nisarga ( Vidyadarshini Convent -12:11.80sec).
