Overflowing drain: Permanent solution needed

February 8, 2021

Sir,

The 8th Cross, Vinaya Marga, in Siddartha Layout is facing a perennial problem of overflowing drain in one particular stretch as shown in the picture. Sometimes the drain not only floods this street but also the main road. Of course, the Mysuru City Corporation staff come and clean whenever we complain but we repeatedly requested for a permanent solution.

Today morning we faced the same problem and along with the Corporation staff our Corporator (ward 34) visited the spot and assured us that already action to lay bigger pipe to resolve this menace permanently is underway. She confirmed that the money has been sanctioned and in another 2-3 months this problem will be solved.
