Mysuru: Chamaraja MLA K. Harishgowda inaugurated the overhead water tank of 10-lakh litre water storage capacity, built by Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) at Tilaknagar (Ward No. 25) here yesterday.
On the occasion, residents of Tilaknagar complained to the MLA about erratic supply of drinking water.
“During morning hours, the parents should ready their children to school and cook food for them, when there will be constant requirement of water. But the water supply is disrupted at the same time,” the affected residents explained.
MLA Harishgowda contacted Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of Vani Vilas Water Works (VVWW) Mohammed Mustafa, who assured of addressing the grievance by providing separate water connection.
However, the residents downplayed the assurance, saying that ‘the officials have been reiterating the assurance, but of no use.’
The MLA said, he has been receiving several calls from this particular ward and the VVWW officials should address the grievance at the earliest.
