Overloaded tippers seized, penalised

August 1, 2021

Mysore/Mysuru: V.V. Puram Traffic Police have penalised seven tippers for overloading of broken stones and M-Sand on Friday.

Residents of Ring Road had complained to the Police about hundreds of overloaded tippers from Gundlupet and KRS entering Mysuru through Ring Road. Due to overloading, sand and broken stones are falling on the road, causing problems for regular road users, they said.

Acting on the complaint, the Traffic Cops swung into action and seized seven tippers that were found carrying building materials violating permissible limits at Basavanahalli, Hinkal and KRS Junction.

The owners of tippers were summoned to the Police Station and warned. The vehicles were released after imposing the fine.
