Noted discourser Hiremagalur Kannan, popularly known as Kannada Poojari, conferred the prestigious P.R.T. Folk Arts award instituted in memory of late folk scholar P.R. Thippeswamy, on Tukaram Poojary of Bantwal in Dakshina Kannada district, at a programme held at Chikkamagalur recently. Noted theatre personality and P.R.T. Trust President Rajashekar Kadamba, office-bearers Parameshwaraiah, Mahadevashetty, Rudranna Hartikote, Chikkanna and Mylahalli Revanna, Shantiniketan’s Vishwakarma Acharya, Prabhu and others are also seen.
