Pack of dogs maul boy in Bannimantap

April 15, 2022

Mysuru: A pack of more than 10 dogs have mauled a boy injuring him seriously behind Tipu Masjid in Bannimantap on Wednesday evening.

The injured boy is nine-year-old Mohammed Umaiz, son of Kamran Rashid of the locality. He was on his way to offer namaz when the dogs pounced on him and bit him on his neck, back, thighs and other parts of his body.

As the boy began to scream for help, passersby rushed to his aid, chased away the dogs and admitted him to a private hospital in city.

Meanwhile, Kamran Rashid alleged that a woman staying at a house behind the Mosque has been feeding the dogs with raw mutton and chicken meat and added that the dogs had bitten a few people earlier too.

Pointing out that the same dogs had attacked his son, Kamran said that he would lodge a complaint against the woman with the Police.
