Mysuru:  Akashavani is launching a new programme ‘Pada Samskruti’ to be broadcast simultaneously from all its 13 centres in the State from Nov.1 daily from 6.45 am to 6.55 am brought out by the Department of Kannada and Culture.

Disclosing this at a press meet at Akashavani premises in Yadavagiri here yesterday, Akashavani Mysuru Assistant Director H. Srinivas said that ‘Pada Samskruti’ or ‘Word Culture’ would bring out the correct meaning and usage of Kannada words, usage in sentences, common pronunciation and grammatical mistakes with corrections, presentation of rare words of different dialects and also a short poem with meaning. He added that every content of the programme would be taken from Kannada language experts.

Srinivas further said that Mysuru Akashavani would broadcast a programme ‘Hariyannarasida Vanitheyaru’ from Nov.2 every Friday from 8.30 am to 9 am featuring 64 new ‘Keerthanes’ through 14 episodes under the direction of Vidushi Dr. Sukanya Prabhakar.

Department of Kannada and Culture Joint Director V.N. Mallikarjunaswamy and Akashavani Director Sunil Badya were present during the press meet.
