Mysuru: City’s tennis prodigy Padmapriya Ramesh Kumar, who has been winning many titles in the junior category, continued her prime form by winning both singles and double titles at the recently held AITA TSTA National Series U-14 Ranking Tennis Tournament-2025 at Ash Tennis Academy in Telangana.

In the finals, Padmapriya defeated Parinitha Vattaprambil (Andhra) in straight sets 6-1, 6-1. In the semi-finals, she came back strongly after losing the first set 2-6 to Aniha Gavinolla (Telangana) and winning the next two set 6-3, 6-1.

In the doubles tournament, Padmapriya, partnering with Parinitha, cruise passed Akshaya Reddy Motati and Diksha Rahul 6-0, 6-0 in the semi-final and defeated the pair of Priyangsi Chatterjee and Shreya Mohapatra 6-2,6-0 in straight sets to lift the doubles title.

Daughter of Dr. P. Ramesh Kumar, Conservator of Forests (Project Tiger), Mysuru and Dr. Malathi Priya, Conservator of Forests (Mysuru Circle), Padmapriya trains under coach Raghuveer Ponnuswamy and Pawan in Mysuru.

She is a student of Class 8 at Excel Public School, Mysuru.
