Mahasudarshana Sankalpa Homa and special abhisheka at 7.30 am, special decoration at 12.30 pm. Mahamangalarati at 1 pm. Prakarotsava at 7.30 pm followed by distribution of prasada at 8 pm, according to a press release.

Hunsur Municipal Council is offering financial assistance of Rs.50,000 for meritorious SC/ST students studying BE/ MBBS courses for purchase of laptop  or desktop computers. Assistance is also offered for Backward Class people to construct personal toilets. Retro-fitted scooters will be provided to disabled people.
