Somashekarappa (74), former Block Congress President and a resident of Uyigowdanahalli village in the taluk, passed away yesterday at the village. He leaves behind his wife, one son, one daughter and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were performed at the family’s farm land at the village, according to family sources.
