Dr. Govindegowda (94), retired Medical Officer of Jayanagar Health Centre and a resident of Saraswathipuram, passed away yesterday. He had served as the Medical Officer at Saraswathipuram and Jayanagar Government Health Centres before retiring from service. His body was donated to JSS Medical College, according to his son A.G. Devaraj.

Mallappa (85), former Chairman of Kodanahalli, Varuna hobli in the taluk, passed away yesterday evening. He had also served as the President of Mysuru Taluk Ashraya Samithi. He leaves behind one son, two daughters and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were performed at Kodanahalli his afternoon.
