Pahalgam terror attack: Several organisations take out torchlight march

Mysuru: Condemning the gunning down of innocent tourists by terrorists at Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, Yuva Brigade and Mysuru Traders Suraksha Welfare Association took out a torchlight march in city on Thursday evening.

Yuva Brigade: The members of Yuva Brigade, who reached Nanjaraja Bahadur Choultry on Vinoba Road, condemned the terror attack and killing of tourists and shouted ‘Vane Matharam’, ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai,’ demanding gunning down of the terrorists.

They again took out a torchlight march, passing via Vinoba Road, Dufferin Clock Tower, D. Devaraj Urs Road, JLB Road and culminated in front of Nanjaraja Bahadur Choultry.

Dr. Chandrashkekar of Aditya Hospital, Yuva Brigade State Convenor S. Chandrashekar, Mysuru City Convenor Mahendra, activists Sanjeev, Sagar, Dhanush, Ramesh, N. Srikantamurthy, Sanjay and others were present.

Mysuru Traders Suraksha Welfare Association: The Association members, who gathered in large numbers, staged a protest at Sri Anjaneyaswamy Temple premises on the 1st Cross in Shivarampet on Thursday.

Holding placards, they protesters shouted ‘Jai Bharat Jai Bharat Sainik’ and took out a march condemning the killing of tourists.

The protesters marched via D. Devaraj Urs Road, Narayana Shastry Road, Shivarampet Main Road and culminated at Dufferin Clock Tower where they paid tributes to those killed by terrorists. The protesters also burned the poster with photo of terrorists and expressed their anger.

Association President and former Corporator Prashanth Gowda, Vice-President Praveen Jain, Secretary Rajesh Mehta, office-bearers Kanthilal, Sagar, Sudeep and members of other organisations were present.
