As part of World Environment Day on June 5, the Mysuru Regional Office of Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB), in association with District Administration and Madilu Shikshana Mattu Grameenabhirvruddhi Samsthe, will be conducting painting and essay competitions for school children tomorrow.

The competitions will take place at Kalamandira premises at 10 am on June 3. While the painting competition will be held under three divisions (Division 1- Children from 1st to 4th standards, Division 2- Children of 5th to 7th standards and Division 3- Children of 8th to 10th standards).

 Essay competition is open only for 8th to 10th standard students. The theme of both the competitions is ‘Ending plastic pollution globally.’

The KSPCB will provide drawing sheets, while the participating students have to bring their own colours and other painting materials for the painting competition. Paper sheets will be provided for the essay competition.

A maximum of ten students from a school can participate in each division in respect of painting competition, while a maximum of five students from a school can take part in the essay competition. For details and registration contact Mob: 91081-49365 or 70190-33602, according to a press release.
