Mysuru: In the wake of the brutal terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Kashmir, Pakistani nationals residing in Mysuru are preparing to return to their homeland.
This development comes after the Cabinet Committee on Security, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, resolved to take stringent measures against Pakistan, accusing it of supporting terrorism.
Following the Cabinet’s decision, the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a directive via email to all State Home Departments, instructing them to initiate appropriate action.
Acting on these instructions, the Karnataka Director General and Inspector General of Police (DG&IGP) has ordered all City Police Commissioners and District Superintendents of Police to identify Pakistani nationals residing in their respective jurisdictions — even if their visas remain valid — and take steps to facilitate their immediate return.
In Mysuru, the Police have prepared a list of Pakistani nationals currently residing in the city and have reportedly instructed them to vacate their accommodations. This action is in line with the broader national directive to ensure compliance with the Cabinet’s resolution.
