Bengaluru: Parvathamma, film producer and wife of late Dr. Rajkumar,  who is being treated at the M.S. Ramaiah hospital, was put on ventilator as she developed breathing difficulty.

She also suffered kidney failure and had to be put through dialysis, which was successful. Sources, said that the health condition of the 78-year-old had given rise for concerns and efforts were being made to improve her condition.

Her sons, Raghavendra Rajkumar, Shiva Rajkumar and Puneeth Rajkumar besides other members of the family are in the hospital. A number of film personalities and government officials visited the hospital yesterday and enquired about Parvathamma’s health condition

The hospital management addressed the media persons in presence of Parvathamma’s son this morning and requested media not to fall pray for false news being spread across social media stating Parvathamma was no more. The doctors said that she is undergoing treatment.
