‘Paschatapa Satyagraha’ in city

April 3, 2023

Mysore/Mysuru: Former Minister and MLC A.H. Vishwanath staged a protest of repentance (Paschatapa Satyagraha) in front of the bust of Mahatma Gandhi near City Law Courts Complex in city this morning, after garlanding the bust of Mahatma Gandhi and the portrait of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

“I am staging this Satyagraha because I was part of a team that was responsible for the present BJP Government coming to power in the State. Since we thought that the then Coalition Government was not contributing anything for the people of the State, we stood at the forefront to form a BJP Government in the State. But the BJP Government later became the most corrupt Government in the history of Karnataka. Now we are regretting of bringing the corrupt BJP Government to power in the State,” said MLC Vishwanath.

Writer K.S. Bhagwan, theatre personality C. Basavalingaiah, State Kuruba Association President Subramanya, leaders K.S. Shivaram, Shaukat Ali, Poorvaj, Dhiresh, Revanna and others participated in the protest.
