Hunsur: A person travelling in an autorickshaw was killed on the spot, when the auto toppled after the driver lost control of the vehicle near Mookanahalli Gate.
The auto driver, who suffered serious injuries, has been admitted to a hospital.
The deceased is K.S. Shivakumar (50), a resident of New Maruthi Layout in Hunsur. He leaves behind his wife B.C. Kavitha, a BJP leader and two children.
Shivakumar was proceeding in the auto to the ginger farm of his friend to give food to the workers yesterday when the auto driver lost control of the vehicle near Mookanahalli Gate following which the auto toppled killing Shivakumar on the spot.
The front portion of auto has been badly damaged and the auto driver identified as Sadashiva has been admitted to a hospital.
Hunsur Police, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, shifted the body for post-mortem and have registered a case.
